Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Purrfocus ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
Description of Service
Purrfocus is a productivity application that combines a Pomodoro-style focus timer with virtual cat companions. The App is designed to help users maintain focus through gamification elements where virtual cats' well-being is tied to completed focus sessions.
Use of the App
Permitted Use
You may use Purrfocus for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree to:
- Use the App only for its intended purpose as a productivity tool
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Not use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
Account Registration
Some features of Purrfocus may require you to create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Virtual Content
The App contains virtual cats, focus sessions, and other digital content. You understand that:
- Virtual cats and their "lives" are purely for entertainment and motivation purposes
- No real animals are harmed in any way by the App's mechanics
- Virtual content has no monetary value outside the App
- We reserve the right to modify or remove virtual content at any time
Advertisements
Purrfocus displays advertisements through Google AdMob. By using the App, you agree to:
- View advertisements as part of the free App experience
- The collection of device identifiers for ad personalization (which you can opt out of)
- Occasional rewarded video ads for optional features like cat revival
Intellectual Property
All content in Purrfocus, including but not limited to:
- Cat artwork and animations
- User interface design
- App icons and graphics
- Sound effects and music
- Source code and functionality
is owned by Purrfocus and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
User Data
Your use of Purrfocus generates data including tasks, focus sessions, and app preferences. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.
Disclaimer of Warranties
PURRFOCUS IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Defects will be corrected
- The App is free of viruses or harmful components
- The App will meet your specific requirements
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PURRFOCUS AND ITS DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Any damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App
Changes to the App
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time
- Update these Terms with reasonable notice
- Change features, pricing, or availability without prior notice
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:
- Your right to use the App ceases immediately
- You may delete the App and all associated data
- Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Thailand, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
